Start with the person.
I started in direct service, working with young people in Illinois and later with people seeking employment in Phoenix.
I care about what happens after someone opens a resource page: Can they understand it? Do they know what to bring, who to call and what might get in the way?
Make the next step feel manageable.

At UMOM New Day Centers, I progressed from case manager to Chief Program Officer, working across shelter, housing, workforce development, coordinated entry and heat relief.
Along the way, I led data and evaluation work, developed managers, and helped turn program plans into practical operating routines.

I hold a B.A. in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University and completed the Berkeley Executive Leadership Program at UC Berkeley Haas.
I like asking how things work—and whether there is a simpler, kinder way to do them. Good feedback can change the plan.

My background includes service in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. I served with the 509th Infantry.
That is part of the experience I bring to this work. With PHX Good, I want to be able to explain what we did, why we did it and what we still do not know.

A person looking for help should be able to find a clear place to start. I want the design to feel welcoming and the next step to feel manageable.
Stay curiousWhat is confusing or getting in the way?
Good feedback can change the plan. I want to hear when something is confusing, incomplete or getting in the way.
Take responsibilityCan I explain the decisions and the gaps?
I want to be able to explain what we did, why we did it, what it cost and what we still do not know. That means recording corrections and asking whether our work is useful to people.

I use AI tools to help research, build and maintain PHX Good. I set the mission and remain responsible for the decisions and public claims made in its name.
The Operations site shows the work behind the product, including decisions, costs, evidence and open questions. Whether that work helps someone take a useful next step is something we have to keep measuring and learning from.
